TIWAM holds you ransom with a Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous review

MissCongeniality2

Plot

Miss Congeniality was clearly a movie that didn’t need a sequel, as you can tell by this muddled, slightly confusing mess that never seems fully developed.

Characters

Now I know what the first one was missing…a sassy, angry black sidekick.**

…and nothing says “He wouldn’t come back for the sequel” quite like constantly mentioning someone from the first film without ever showing him.

**Sarcasm!

Visuals

The visuals seemed a little cheaper this time around, but nothing really to complain about.

Product Placement

They toned down the Starbucks this time around.

Rewatchability

Fun Fact: My Miss Congeniality review was the most-viewed TIWAM post for 2012. Yeah, I don’t get it either.

Anyway, this one wasn’t any fun.

  1. “Miss Congeniality was clearly a movie that didn’t need a sequel” pretty much sums it up. A pity too, because Miss Congeniality isn’t a terrible film. It’s marketed like a Lifetime movie but was actually far better quality than that. The very title of this sequel was off-putting enough for me to never bother.

Now I’m going to have to go back and look for that Miss Congeniality review….

  2. haha. the most viewed review, huh? I often scratch my head at how some posts get viewed WAAY more than others as well.

as for MC2, I haven’t bothered with this and now I def won’t. Thanks for the review.

  3. I can’t wait for Miss Congeniality 3: The Golden Years. :|

  4. was it as bad as Speed 2: Cruise Control? Sub question: why would the secondary title for a movie about a boat be ‘cruise control’? Boats don’t have cruise control… oh I get it. it’s a pun. they’re on a cruise… i get it… sigh.

  5. This is the same person with such amazing performances in The Blind Side and Demolition Man, right?
