Clear the driveway, it’s a Suburban Commando review

SuburbanCommando

Plot

The point was taken off for the distracting subplots, despite one of them being an attempt to take advantage of the “fish out of water” aspect of the story.

Characters

Sometimes I have to keep in mind what I’m dealing with when it comes to these movies. Everyone seemed to be having a good time, so I won’t take off any points.

Visuals

The ship in the beginning looked like it was filmed in the corridors of the Satellite of Love that they didn’t show on MST3k, which in this case is a good thing.

Product Placement

RC Cola and Hawaiian Tropic came pretty close. Better take a point off for good measure.

Rewatchability

This film is harmless, silly fun that would have suffered if it had taken itself seriously.

  1. The fact that Hulk Hogan is in this movie makes it worth watching, regardless of what happens.

  2. I’m just excited that I’m not the only person who reviewed Suburban Commando! (not to mention the only person who SAW Suburban Commando)

  3. I loved this film when I was a kid! All I can remember now is the squeezing melons to check they are ripe and fight at the end. You’ve made me really want to see this now!
